Bloomers Funding
The cost of planting and maintaining our projects has to be raised by Bloomers with a top up contribution from the Town Council.
Through our sustainable planting schemes, we can reduce the number of plants we need but we still need to purchase quite a lot of stuff from our local suppliers and growers then there’s always maintenance and re-placements.
Fundraising events are held throughout the year.
Plant Sales
We raise these funds by selling plants grown by our volunteers along with plants donated by wonderful people in the Town.
Fritillary Tea rooms
Held in the Thames Hall over 3 weekends in April.
This is our biggest fundraising event. It co-insides with the annual display of Fritillary flowers in North Meadow National Nature Reserve which attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Mikron Theatre
For several years Bloomers have hosted an outdoor theatre. Its always a sell-out. Lookout for news of this year’s event.
Christmas Wreath Workshop
An extremely popular event held at our Walled Garden in December.
